Descriptions

Visual: About 20, white cis male, average-cute, often appears a bit tired or daydreamy. Blue eyes. Ginger hair that just kind of falls where it wants. AMAZING freckles. It's not usually clear, because he tends to wear very baggy and unassuming clothes, but he has a bit of a rack going on.

Voice: Generically American accent. Pretty low-key and even voice that rarely gets raised into anger.

Smell: Dude's a werewolf. So if you can smell nonhuman blood, he's got that. If you can smell the mark of the Hunt fear entity, he'll have that too. However 'werewolf' would show up in your character's senses is what he's got going on; go nuts interpreting that.

Demeanour: Slouching, laid-back, not particularly assertive.


Werewolf Stuff

Max is unfortunately a werewolf! His werewolf form (here's a screenshot and a gif) is sort of an eight-foot-tall gollum-looking thing, with pointed ears, yellow eyes, and monstrous canine fangs. It's covered in grey skin and has a really unnecessarily long tongue.

He doesn't remember his transformations and doesn't stay in the driver's seat during them; he basically becomes a hungry predatory animal that heavily favours human prey. Silver, loud noises, bright lights, and still water are painful to a werewolf, and they can be killed with silver weapons.

Want to get hunted / have a werewolf fight / get bit? Yell at me and we can work something out! Werewolves tend to prioritise biting humans, but they'll attack other stuff too for sure. Max is going to try to lock himself away during full moons, but precautions can always fail if we want them to. I figure the curse would only remain on a bitten character until they die and come back, but you can handle that side of it however seems the most fun, I'm not the boss of you.

So You've Been Bitten By A Werewolf: A Handy Guide
➼ getting bitten (and only getting bitten: something like a scratch doesn't count) transfers the werewolf infection to a victim.
➼ when infected, it takes between one and a few hours to transform into a werewolf. the infection gets more intense over time; a big clue that it's getting severe is that injuries quickly heal, even if they're as severe as missing body parts. eyes turning briefly yellow is also a dead giveaway.
➼ the infection will start to erode impulse control and bring out hidden parts of your personality, though that's only relevant if you're hiding something. this seems to happen sooner if you have a lot to hide. this happens in the lead-up to any transformation, not only your first infection.
➼ it's pretty obvious when you're about to transform: you'll get gross black veins, clouded/yellow eyes, and sharp teeth, and experience pain / confusion / spacing out.
➼ when you transform from human to monster or vice versa, it's with a sudden explosion of gore, enough to heavily splatter the scenery. Here's a video (warning: lots of gore and Quarry spoilers.)

Physical affection: Sure! He's in an exclusive relationship so he'll cut off anything not platonic.
Flirting: Go for it, though it won't go anywhere.
Physical violence: Sure thing!
Injury: Yep! Grab me for anything major so we can coordinate.
Death: Yep, as above.
Magic/psychic abilities: He has none to speak of, apart from being a werewolf. If you read his mind, here's a sneak preview. If you let me know you're doing it, I'll accommodate in my tags. LMK if we're threading / you want to thread and you have power permissions I haven't filled out yet.

Clarke smells human, but I joke and say "slightly burnt human" based on her man-made anti-radiation blood condition (blood is black, can survive a nuclear apocalypse). Otherwise, constant 50/50 on if she smells like soap/laundry detergent/shampoo or several days worth of sweat (what's selfcare). Fun extras: coffee, her homies (Pal & Natsuno most?), cigar smoke from hanging out in Tauva, O- blood if you want to get specific, whatever the fuck the library smells like, and pencil graphite.

And how could I forget gunpowder and probably faintly of burn smoke.
